Restoration of Fukushima Factory

This is to inform you that our Fukushima factory will resume operations on April 1, 2011.

Operations in our factory were severely disturbed by the earthquake that occurred in the northeast part of Japan on March 11, 2011. This earthquake brought us a tremendous disaster including huge human suffering, and the lifeline in the region such as electricity and water was also heavily damaged because of the collapse of roads and the break of utility poles. The restoration of the public utilities delayed and accordingly, it was not easy for us to make any recovery plan.

We are now making every effort, however, to minimize the inconvenience to our customers. We repaired roads in nearby areas and procured two large generators, which has enabled us to reestablish the production system that is almost the same as before. As to the accident in a nuclear power plant, our factory is far from the site and there is no influence on its operation.

On the other hand, we received a lot of calls and e-mails of encouragement. We are grateful for your thoughtfulness and consideration.

We will finish checking all the machines in our factory by the end of this month, aiming at our normal operation scheduled for April 1, although unavoidable delays of delivery are expected. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the disastrous consequences of the said earthquake.

Very truly yours,
Takashi Ikegaya, President
